Throwing a surprise engagement party for a friend!! Ideas and advice needed :-)

I say if it’s going to be 10 people or less and you still want to do DIY stuff just host it at someone’s house or apartment. That way you can just invite the couple over and for dinner and drinks or something to surprise them!

Anon77789:  Friends threw us a surprise e party. It was fantastic and such a wonderful surprise–we really really felt how much they love us.  They didn’t go overboard at all and still made it super nice. They had it in one girl’s house, and told us it was a barbecue. They got apps and a sushi tray from Costco or Sams, had a deli tray, brownies, stuff like that. They provided beer and wine. Decorations were cute but nothing over-the-top. I wish I had pictures but I don’t know if anyone was taking any. It was wonderful though–we really really really appreciated it. I’m sure your friends will be excited about anything you do.
