OK, before I begin, let me say that this isn’t my idea. My mother has enlisted my help in designing invites for my stepfather’s 50th surprise birthday party. The party is being held a few days after he turns 49. My first thought – “this is super weird”. But then I can sort of see her point in that it will definately throw him off.
I’m just not sure whether to have invites which say 50th birthday, or leave them to say 49th (with something funny about how he is almost 50).
Given the complicated scenario, I’m starting to regret agreeing to do these invites.
Have any of you heard of parties thrown this early? Any ideas for the invites: 49 vs 50, wording, etc. HELP!
