tbenjamin4884 : Oh my gosh!! I love your new ring!! It’s a new setting, too, right? Or am I imagining this? Because the setting looks like an “invisible set” like my anniversary ring. So we are almost ring twins!! I am way too excited about this, and it’s not even my ring. Ha, ha! EDIT: Nevermind! Ignore my excited ranting. I should have read the rest of the reply before your picture. My excitement ran away with me.
The new project, which is just in the planning stages in my brain right now, will be for our 20th, which is coming up in October. There is no way the project will be done by our anniversary, since I am still in the phase of hunting for the perfect (for me) stone. I bought the oval I mentioned in my last post. I’m hopeful it will be The One. But I won’t know for sure until I see it. It will be a whole new ring. Even though the round in my 15th anniversary setting is slightly less than a carat (so maybe some consider it “small”), I am in love with that stone. It’s so pretty in terms of both color and sparkle. I don’t think I can ever give it up, even if I (one day) put a larger stone into my anniversary setting. I’m so selfish — give me all the sparkly gems! Rawr!
Stone-wise, I went through a lot of thought on different gem stones. I finally settled in my mind on Spinel for the project. The oval I purchased looks in the seller’s pictures like it has a good color tone and size. I never really picked round stones. My husband is the one who picked that shape for me with my engagement ring. And I have just kind of kept getting stones in that shape. So, while I’m a little nervous about trying an oval, I’m also not sure round is “my” shape. Does that even make sense? LOL
Here’s one of the seller’s pictures for my stone. It’s a teeny picture because I accidentally saved the thumbnail to my computer, instead of the full-size pic. (Sorry for the long reply!)

cameobride : Yey thank you for sharing I have ALWAYS loved your ring. So unique but very classic. Its amazing!
wrkbrk : Just when I thought I couldn’t love your baby any more, you go and show me those pics. Great now I am drooling like a bloodhound over here. LOL. I LOVE your ring. I just absolutely LOVE it.
princessbee104 : I am loving the deep dark contrast of your sapphires what color are they? OMGOSH are you just dying without it? I would be… I am without mine too lol. I love your ring. Its stunning.I love how you can see the prongs so vividly against your outer halo.
hanlaw : I cant even imagine a ring like that… well I can, but not even a thought of reality though LOL. I love it. Tell her whenever she travels that you definitely need to baby sit it LOL. Its amazing. But you know what hers all around is just a giant chunky diamond ring, where yours since its a solitaire gives that same dramatic effect because your stone is so big and its a solitaire and your fingers are so pretty.
longtimemrs : OHHHH I LOVE IT! I think you will be very happy with it. I cant wait to see the finished product. Everything you said made sense and you are so adorable and I adore you. I think all of your rings are amazing. And I love how they are all so different and so unique. Very classic but very different in a good way and that makes the versatility so fun. I think your “under a carat” diamond is perfect. I would wear a 1/2 carat as long as it sparkled. I wish I had focused on quality over quantity a long time ago. INVISIBLE setting that is the word I was looking for to describe that setting. No that was one from a long time ago. I wish i still had it, it was probably one of my favorites. But at the time of having it my husband and I almost got divorced we had ever odd against us and it damn near defeated us, so when we decided to reconcile I decided I needed a new setting. And a new house LOL. We replaced both. I cant wait to see that oval set and the project completed ๐
michelleh0686 : That is a gorgeous color. I mean it is intoxicating. What kind of stone is it? Hearts are so romatic. Thank you for sharing that beauty. We need a little color in our lives ๐ At least I do.
amariemgoodman : they’re amazing.

I recently found a love for pear diamonds, so I’m sorry to hear that the prongs were sharp and causing problems! It’s awesome that you ended up choosing quality over size though!
I just got engaged, so I’m definitely happy to share a pic of my ring!

michelleh0686 : Ooooh! I love that! I’ve wanted a heart shaped stone for forever. One day … *begins plotting*
tbenjamin4884 : Awww, you’re so sweet. *cyberhugs* Even though I am still excited about your new stone and ring! Are you going to put your new round into the setting from your pear? Either way, it will look great! I can understand wanting to start fresh in order to get rid of the bad or negative feelings and memories associated with certain things. I feel that way, too, sometimes.
