If you think that that amount is too much, then don’t bother getting them. I don’t think anyone really pays attention to the bride’s shoes, except for the photographer before you get dressed. Unless you’re wearing a short enough dress to show off your shoes, no one is really going to see them.

There are a few people that may come up during the reception or something and ask to see your shoes so they know your whole ensemble, but they will be just as excited by $20 shoes as by $200 ones.

@Olivepepper:  Thanks for introducing me to Tieks:) They are great, but yeah – sooo expensive for what they are. If you really want them, get them – but if it’s going to be one of those purchases that leave you guilt-ridden, leave them.

Too expensive! They might be comfortable, but the $25 pair(s…cough…yes, I bought three of the same shoe in different colors!) of ballet flats that I just bought are comfy, too. Unless the Tieks are going to literally last forever, I’d pass.

@mockblock:  This is what I needed to decide I’m gonna do it lol I wear flats daily to work here. How long have you had them? I usually need to replace my cheap flats every 4-6 months, if these can hold up a while….

Do you have to order them online? I have flat feet, I’d like to be able to try them on first

@soontobemrsm11:  I’ve had mine about a year and a half. I work in child abuse investigations so I wear them a lot of nasty places. They’ve been great.
