    @FutureWife517: I had Tiffany blue as a colour. It looks good with the black, love the waistcoat and tie

    @FutureWife517:  You made a good choice.  Notch lapel is what’s “in” for men’s tuxes.  Is the jacket ventless?  That achieves a much more formal look than the usual center-vent.    The tapered sleeves that are on the tux you pciked ought to be the only way they make any jacket, but as long as men with fat arms exist, so will vented (read: huge) sleeves.

     

    Personal advice: If he’s in shape, have your husband buy his.  Off-the-rack, it won’t fit great.  No tux rental will, and they only alter the pant legs. I paid $100 for a tailor to make extensive (non-reversible mostly) alterations to my tuxedo, and it made a big difference for me.

    @FutureWife517:  I see what you mean about the black, it looks good in your picture. I think with the blue being a big part of the colour the black is needed. I preferred grey if the blue was more of an accent colour, not the feature colour of the suit.

     

    Great choice in the end!
