If I had the money for a Tiffany ring, I would totally do it.  e_e

@RenoSweeney24:  this topic always gets so heated! I think everyone should be happy with their rings and we should all be happy for them! it’s such a supportive community, except when it comes to some subjects.

Lol. I feel the same way about my car. My ring was cheap, but I will be the first person in line to tell you my car is ridiculous and I wanted it, so I bought it. A lot of people get judgy, but they don’t have to drive it, so I’m not worried.

I get where you are coming from.

@RenoSweeney24:  I’m sure that is annoying! I could never afford a ring from Tiffany’s as nice as they are. So I have to go somewhere else to find quality! You’re lucky if you are able to buy from them.

@RenoSweeney24:  I can guarantee that no one on the bee who has a Tiffany’s ring or REALLY wants a specific ring that happens to be from Tiffany’s cares that you think Tiffany’s is stupid and overpriced.

Really? Ya could have fooled me because it kinda seems like you do care.

Well, I guess…if you don’t care about the opinions of others, why ask about it on an internet message board? If you don’t care, then it’s just attention seeking, or bragging, so neither of those is really good either.

FWIW I have seen many handmade settings that equal or better the soleste. They’re not cheap, but they’re not tiffany priced either. So it also depends on how much work you’re willing to do to get the look you want. I wanted a Tacori ring but didn’t like the Tacori price or metal choices so I went through a long process to get one made, and it’s perfect.

My wedding ring (and FI’s ring) are from Cartier. I found their prices to be similar for the things I was looking for, with a couple hundred markup for the name. I decided that was worth it to me. Others may feel that thousands are worth it to them. Whatever– it really doesn’t make a difference.

Good rant.

Let’s sum up the reasons for it.

Polite bee’s opinion-

“I wouldn’t be comfortable spending that kind of money”

Passive aggressive bee’s opinion that no one really cares about

“I personally would rather get a more affordable diamond and spend that money on a nice vacation or my 401k”

And my fave, the bitch bee’s opinion

“I wouldn’t spend that kind of money even though I have the money and anyone who does spend that kind of money is an idiot for spending that kind of money when she could have saved her SO a ton of money by not being so brand obsessed and greedy…oh and ETA did I tell you I have that I do have that kind of money and if I was as stupid as the OP, I would have gotten a ring from Tiffany’s but instead we spend our money more wisely”

Smh. Sorry people are trying to make you feel bad for your ring choice. It shouldn’t take away from the beauty!
