I’ve been having a hard time deciding between these two for my e-ring.
#1 BGD Classic Tiffany Style Half Round
#2 BGD Tapered Tiffany Style Half Round
I think #2 (tapered) has a slightly thinner band than #1, and I’m wondering what that would look like on my finger… worried it might be too thin. I wish I could try them on!
My diamond is 0.6 carat round brilliant, and the ring size is 5.
Which one would you choose, and why??

Tapered, tapered *chanted like a frat boy*
I like the tapered band better, I think it’s more interesting to look at, there’s something I just love about tapered shanks..

I like the tapered best also. But I’m biased 😛
This is mine, if it helps you decide:

I voted for the tapered band because I’m eyeing that same setting myself! I tried on a comfort fit solitaire once and it looked terrible on my hand. I knew that any solitaire I would like would have to have some “shape” to it rather than just a comfort fit kind of style. Also, for me, the thinner the setting the better because I have very short fingers and it makes the center stone look larger.

I am totally biased. I have a tapered ring, but with such a simple setting, it’s a little visual interest. Gorgeous either way! There is no bad decision here. Congrats!

Everyone has a tapered ring… Go for the other one!

Mmmmm! Brian Gavin! It’s a win either way, but I think the taper.. It probably isn’t thinner, just looks that way? I have a knife edge, almost 3mm, bout it looks thin because of that taper look. Ask them for dimensions.

I think tapered rings are much more beautiful then rings with straight bands.

i have the same setting and it is quite plain. at first i wanted super plain and simple just like this, but then i found it to be a bit too plain, and i know there was another post on here by another bee who had the same setting and found the same problem. so just make sure you really want that setting. just as a warning from a bee who has one 🙂

@MrsRose7: I like ring #1 because its so classic. I like tapered settings but I don’t like the second option for some reason.
