Apple products aren’t overpriced. Have you used windows machines lately? The hardware and software interaction isn’t as smooth (creates cognitive overhead and adds processing time), the screen quality isn’t as high (contributes to eyestrain) and are less durable.
A Chromebook Pixel has similar specs to Apple’s products and are also priced similarly. Using a windows machine at my last job resulted in back strain, eye strain and low morale. I eventually quit that job for a job with a macbook air.

Hi girls (and boys).
I’m french, and I’m glad to you, because you help me to choose the perfect ring for my girlfriend. So, thank you !
It’s time for me to share my ring informations to help future guy.
I buy her a Tiffany setting ring with a 0.53c diamond (G color, VS1 and perfect cut).
The size ring is 46 3/4 (french size) : around 4 size US (yes, small fingers not need a big stone, thanks to my wallet).
Her Tiffany ring is perfect, as her !!

do you know how much the solitaire is by itself? if I bring in a diamond from somewhere else?

I don’t think they do that sorry. But you can always ask!

Most large jewellery retailers will not set an outside stone. They make a huge profit on the markup on their diamonds so they wouldn’t forfeit that profit. That is true for everyone from Cartier to Blue Nile.
Also, a name like Tiffany’s would be very exacting about the quality of stone set in their rings. They wouldn’t have the Legacy, for example, set with a K, I2 cushion.

I would love to hear the reply Tiffany would give you if you asked to set an outside stone. There is a reason you cannot buy just the setting.
Tiffany is a little to plain for my preference but their diamonds are pretty amazing.

lulz — what’s the point of getting a Tiffany if you’re not getting a Tiffany stone in the setting? Their entire production process is vertically integrated.
Get a vatche u113 setting if you want to get your stone set.

I always want to have a Tiffany ring. I wish my husband will give me a Tiffany ring because we are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this coming May and I told him that I would love to receive a Tiffany ring.

I do love me a little blue box, and I have a sterling silver key pendant from Tiffany’s and have my eye on a few other less expensive items but I know when it comes to an engagement ring I can get a bigger diamond for a cheaper price elsewhere and I think I get my fill of tiffany joy from cheaper items that they carry. I am all for people going with whatever brand they want and can afford but if you’re worried about the carat size being too small I would consider getting a similar setting with a larger stone somewhere else, just think about what is more important to you in the long run.
