I wish it from the standpoint that I don’t need this added stress on top of everything else. I hate having tasks that still need to be done or relying on other people to get things done (like the venues…they’re still drawing up the contract and this is putting us behind on solidifying everything else). And I’ll always fret about money (I had a long post about this last week).

I am right there with you!  My Fiance and I are paying for our wedding as well, and the stress of worrying about the next “deposit” due date that seems to come sooner rather than later can definitely take its toll.  We are a little over 4 months away from our big day and I tell everyone I know I wish we would have just ran off and had a small ceremony somewhere and saved the money for a big celebration after the fact.  I just keep thinking that it will all work out and it will all be worth it in the end, because at the end of the day…big wedding or small wedding all that matters is you get to marry the man of your dreams 🙂

umm…definitely! I’m coundting down the days not because I’m excited (well of course I’m excited but…) I just want this to be FINISHED! No more decisions, no more checks, no more fussing with the darn lady at the bridal shop! lol

We are earining our honeymoon! haha

We didn’t have a wedding.  We just eloped.  We didn’t elope on a whim though.  We planned it out in secret.  The entire time I kept thinking how glad I was to not have a wedding.  The planning would be too much for me.  In fact, I was anxious to have our big day even if it was only going to be us two, because I was so distracted with the date and counting down the days and looking at the pictures of what I would wear and the flowers.  I was ready to just get back to normal again.  Laughing So I definitely think if I had to put all that money into a wedding, and organizing the details, I’d feel the same as you.

I am right there with you! Although wedding planning is (mostly) fun, I hate the budget portion of things, and am looking forward to concentrating on other things, like paying off student debt, buying a home, etc. … things that are more worthwhile than one day haha.

Right there with all of you – I ask myself all the time, how this is supposed to be fun? I’m sure it would be much easier if we didn’t have a budget, but we do and we’ve been saving every penny since July of last year to pay for our 400+ guest wedding 🙁

@actime:  I felt a little bad too until my man text me just a while ago saying “is it sad that I’m looking forward to the honeymoon way more than this wedding?” lol even the guys are feeling like this too!

I’m so stressed about money, too.  All of our big things like vendors are paid for.
But, we’re moving.

And: I know there will be TONS of little costs – last minute DIYs, programs, hair, all that shit. So not looking forward to that.

I had a terrible time with my entire wedding experience!  Darling Husband and I were stressed out, not sleeping, dealing with family.  I am so glad I do not have to repeat!
