I feel you.  We’re not going into debt, but my inner Suze Orman says we should have gotten married at City Hall.  I will be so happy when the amount in savings is going up again instead of down!

@actime:  I absolutely am 100% with you on this.  Hindsight is 20/20 and Fiance and I would have rather splurged the money on a destination wedding or a simple backyard wedding.  Oh well, it is what it is now, so we’re just gonna have to keep truckin on and enjoy it! Can’t wait for it to be over and get back to normalcy!

Yeah my small budget sucks.  I am having so much fun with the planning though and not stressing yet, but I do wish we had more wiggle room.  I am looking forward to the big day but still am glad I have 5 months left (and days I feel that is not long enough…wish I had more time LOL).  I plan a lot of parties so planning is easy for me  so I do enjoy that part.  I am getting to the part though where I am thinking more about how to allocate money and what is due and what is left to buy, etc.  It’s always about money and as soon as we make it, it’s gone.  🙁

However, I would not have been happy with a smaller wedding or a courthoue wedding so I am not regretting my choice at all.  I had the chance to have a small intimate backyard wedding and that was not what I wanted so I have to suck it up and pay for this bigger (but still budget) affair.  Hang in, you’ll get through this and your day will be fun.

@pumpkin85:  LOL, we actually had the opposite. When we got close to the day of, I started to wish we didn’t have a backyard wedding. I realized we could have probably saved effort and time by having one at our original venue. But despite all the stress, it was so worth it, and it is special to be able to come home to our wedding venue every week for Sunday dinner. So it all works out at the end. And to the OP, I remember being there (and we only had 1 month to plan everything). About a week before-hand, Darling Husband and I just looked at each other and as much as I loved the whole planning process and DIY projects, we were both so ready to be done with all the stress.
