(Closed) tilted cake stand is that normal?

Wait, just to clarify are you asking if a crooked cake stand is okay??

If that is what are saying than no, I wouldn’t think it would be. My MOH’s cakestand (provided by the caterer) was crooked and when they went to cut the cake it nearly slid off (her father ended up catching it making for some pretty drama filled moments).

@Dec-bride: I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a tilted cake stand (the only thing I can think of is a slightly tilted stand so as to better display the decorations at the top of the cake… but even that I’ve never actually heard of). I’d say return it and get another. It could just be a production error.

@Dec-bride: I don’t think that’s normal. Our caterer just used hers, and it was a solid base, so I know for sure it wasn’t tilted forward. I would be scared that the cake would fling off because they’re usually heavy!
