- Wedding: May 2011 - Bartram's Garden
This isn’t necessarily a wedding related purchase, but whatevs. I am so, so excited about this that I had to share.
I came across Etsy seller NanLawson a few weeks ago and commissioned a custom portrait of the boy and me. Maybe I’d use it for Save the Dates. Maybe I’d just hang it in our home somewhere. Who knows? Her portfolio was so quirky and cute and her prices so reasonable that I couldn’t resist.
Anyway, I sent her some photos of us and told her the type of clothes we usually wear. In about ten days or so, she sent me our proof. And it is fabulous, you guys. Freaking aMAZing.

It looks just like us. Especially the boy. She captured his ubiquitous black hoodie, and my love of cardigans and scarves. It’s perfect… well, almost. We’re a lot skinnier in the portrait than in real life, but I’ll let that slide!
I’m so in love with it! Oh, and she’s going to send us an 8×10 art print and a high-res digital image that we can use however we want.

That is a beautiful picture!!!!
Etsy is possibly the best invention ever. I have a lot of “Etsy crushes” my favorites list is far too long, and I’m always afraid I’ll buy them all. It’s hard not to!
