So, I want to have a remembrance of some sort – haven’t quite decided yet if I’ll have say, a table with a flower arrangement or just a section in the program. I told my dad I wanted to have it for my sister who was killed in a car accident over a decade ago, and for my FH’s best friend who was killed in Afghanistan a couple of years ago. He thought it was a very nice idea and then started listing my grandparents who died – two when I was an infant, and one about 5 years ago. I asked my FH to ask his mother for a list of people she wanted on there, and she said there was no one, as everyone had died too long ago. But my FH had a great grandmother who died when he was about ten who was a pretty big part of his life. Long story short, is there a time limit on who gets included in a remembrance? I’d never heard of this before. I mean, obviously, we wouldn’t be including people who died a decade before our births, but I feel like people we met would be fine to include, wouldn’t they?
