I thought I had perfectly counted it all out, but then my period did a drastic date change on me so I had to go get on birth control to prevent “that time of the month” during the wedding. UGH.

I tried to, but I’ve never really charted my period and I think it is shorter than the average.  I have tried to estimate and I am getting a little worried.  In the end we ended up choosing the date based on what worked out the best for us.  There were two august dates left and one feel very close to Future Mother-In-Law and FSIL’s birthday, so the second saturday it was!

Defintely..but when I was figuring the date out, my cycles were a lot longer so I thought we picked a really safe date. Now that my cycles have decided to be a perfect 28 days and always on schedule I expect to start a few days after the wedding so my fingers are crossed. I was hoping I’d at least be so stressed out that it would be delayed till at least a week or two after the wedding but apparently I’m not stressed enough yet for that to happen!!! lol

No, but I recently found out that I would be on my preiod during the honeymoon, and I cannot have that. So I talked to my dr and I will be skipping the placebo weeks for two months of my BC.

So by that time, my period wont be anywhere near the wedding or honeymoon.

Ha, in all the excitement I never even considered this. When I finally thought about it, I realized I would be coming off my period the day of. Then, it decided to jump days on me. I’m going to talk to my dr about it. Our honeymoon is right after the wedding so I wana get it all out of the way before the wedding.

i’ll have it the week before the wedding, but it should end a few days before…..so definitely not during wedding or honeymoon!

didn’t decide date based on this, but if there had been a conflict i would have just skipped the placebo pills for as many months as necessary to make the dates work.

It didn’t impact the date selection, but…I counted out the weeks and I am going to have to talk to my OB/GYN to figure out how we’re going to adjust my placebo weeks- it’s scheduled to start the week of the wedding- no thank you!

Oh yeah, I am hitting it right on…I am due for mine the day of the rehersal dinner, will be on day one for wedding most likely, and have it all through our “minimoon”.  I am not on BC so I really don’t have an option to change it, and don’t want to start BC again just for that.  Fiance knows, he actually pointed it out to me.  I am just really not looking forward to the cramping and messiness.  I may speak to a doc abou tpain management though, because I have been getting really bad cramping the past few months.

When we booked our date, my cycle was pretty wacked, and due around the 24th of every month.  Now, bang on the 10th for the past 8 months.  Crap.

I thought about this, but my cycle is not regular so I just wished for the best.

However, I’m so happy to say I got mine earlier, so I will NOT be having it during the wedding!!!! WOOHOO!

I’m generally pretty regular, but once in a while I get thrown off by a week. When we picked a date last fall, I counted weeks, and was good to go. As of right now looks like I’ll be crampy and bloated on my wedding day. Sigh. I am hoping I get an early hit in the upcoming months so that I’ll be all clear again!

I talked to DR about this.  Mine is very regular so “NORMALLY” its just off a day or two, so nothing crazy. But we all know it get affected by stress and the schedule will be off so I don’t want to have to worry about the “leakage” and being tired on my wedding week.

Dr suggested if want to be safe, use birth control pills to make sure it will be “ON SCHEDULE” at least for the event so no accident or at least to skip that month.  Might mess up the month afterwards but at least got this taken care of.

I did NOT count and realized quickly that my Aunt Flow was due two days before our wedding!  I managed to head it off at the pass though by take Ibuproften three times a day (I know, weird right?) << NOT RECCOMENDED, I’m not a doctor, not medical advice, yadda yadda.

Hindsight is always 20/20 and it might have been smarter to check BEFORE we set the date!
