I work nights so it worked out a little bit differently.  Our wedding was on a Sunday but it was also out of town and we were set to arrive Friday afternoon.  I got off work Wednesday at 8am and had Thursday night and Friday night off and then the whole next week.   I definitely spent Wednesday and Thursday packing and finishing up everything for the wedding (and I had to get the dogs to the vet) and it was nice to be able to do that without having to worry about work.

My situation is unique – I am getting married where I work as the wedding sales manager/coordinator… So… I can do some stuff on the clock ๐Ÿ˜‰

My wedding is on a Saturday as well.  I will be taking Friday off (though I’ll be helping set up the space in the morning) and possibly leaving a little early on Thursday, depending on how that week goes workwise.

If our honeymoon remains as planned, I will be taking the whole week that follows off.  If we end up cancelling all or part of our minimoon, I’ll be back at work on that Thrusday I would think.

I don’t get holidays at all, so in either case I’d be working Monday July 5th.

Good luck!!  It’s almost here for you ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m taking the thursday and friday before the wedding off, and then 2 weeks after for the honeymoon. Technically I’ll be gone from the 7th-22nd of July. It seems like such a long time. God, I can’t wait!

My wedding is on a Sunday, so I’ll be taking the Thursday before off and will be back at work the following Tuesday.

Our honeymoon won’t start until the next week, so I decided to go back to work in the mean time.

I am just taking a week off. Not going on honeymoon right after. Taking off Wednesday till the following Thursday. (So okay, a total of 8 days.) But one of the days is a stat holiday. Yay!

My work actually gives us 3 days paid leave for marriage.  My wedding is July 9th so I have the 5th off for the holiday and then I will take my 3 day marriage leave Tuesday-Thursday, then I’ll take vacation on Friday.  The whole next week I’m off while I’m on my honeymoon as well as Monday and Tuesday of the next week.  I’m planning to return to work on Wednesday.  Including weekends I’ll be away from work for 18 days!!  I can’t wait!!

Mine was on a Sunday. I took the Friday before off because my bachelorette was an all-day affair, and Darling Husband and I both took the Monday and Tuesday afterward off so we could destress. Then I went back to work for three days before we left for three weeks on our honeymoon.
