I really don’t understand how he could have not known that August was the big recruiting month.  I knew that before I started law school (recruiting is a big topic of conversation among pre-law nerds), but even if I didn’t career services has been badgering us about marking our calendars for OCI and other important recruiting events since orientation!

But anywho, thats neither here nor there.  I did my undergrad in NC so I’m pretty familiar with most of the state.  Asheville is lovely.  There are tons of B&B’s & historic sites. Not to mention, western NC is a nature lover’s dream.

My boyfriend and I used to always go down to South Carolina when we wanted to get away.  Charleston is quite charming.  You can go to the beach if that’s what you’re looking for.  There are historic sites.  Nice hotels & B&B’s. Or you can always go down to Myrtle Beach.

Good Luck with your Mini Moon!

Ugh. I know that’s a bummer, but there are lots of ladies on here who have done mini-moons or just put off their honeymoon for a few weeks or months for various reasons. I bet they can tell you that it’s not the end of the world and that they still had a great time!

It’s not the closest to north Carolina but in Georgia they have a tree top hostel in the forest. You get your own private tree house and farm land and you can stay there for up to 10 days. Plus… Bonus it’s only $7 a night! So you get peace and quiet away from everyone and you don’t have to waste the real honeymoon budget 🙂
