My favorite ressurections are the ones where someone helps the person choose between dresses for a wedding that happened in like, 2007.  🙂

I get why people do it.  The little “Related Topics” box gets me all of the time.  I’ve finally learned to look at the date of the OP before responding.

Haha. Yes! I’ll admit I roll my eyes a little when I see a years-old thread revived and new threads get overlooked because of it. I usually think “How did they even find that??”

Eh, I just figure they are really giving the advice to the rest of us that aren’t married yet. Good advice is timeless I suppose.

I always laugh at that too!

One time when I was relatively new to WB, I saw someone had revived a 2 year old thread that was debating between two Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses.  I jokingly replied to the “reviver” that I doubted the bride (who’s wedding was over a year prior) was trying to pick a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress anymore.  I then got chastized by other Bees because “the thread could still be helpful to other posters”.  Who are debating between the exact same two dresses two years later?  I don’t think so …..

And for some funny animals pictures about being revived …

There are newbees that do not understand the date stamps.  Maybe they have done a search, on the searches, it is always the old threads that come up.  Maybe one of you would like to write a FYI post and I will ask to have it stickied into “weddingbee”.

@tksjewelry:  yeah I think that’s usually what happens…..but it’s still funny sometimes. another reason I wish you could sort search results and get them in date order!

Haha, love it. I got an inbox message right after one of my old posts popped up. It was pretty serious but I had to laugh because the advice was way off and we were already married.

@hisgoosiegirl:  I would love that.  There is a suggestion in the “ideas” section.  I would love for you all to vote for that, it would make the boards alot more organized and make sure the information is current.  I do have to say that I have found some great how to blogs from old old posts when I am bored.

Lol, sometimes I get excited and think “wow, I’ve got some great advice here” then I see the time stamp. “Oh, 2 years ago nevermind :/”
