(Closed) time warner phone and internet

I hate it! We have channels that go out all the time for no reason, and even after calling them, sometimes it is not fixed. I hate the whole bundle deal. We have no reason for a home phone, but we pay for one anyways (we have a phone line, but no phone. ridiculous) because its so much cheaper. They give you a really good deal at first but after a year, prices go up by ridiculous proportions. We’ve been trying to get a new DVR box forever, but they refuse to give us a “new” one, we just get another used one and they always have problems. So far, I’ve had Comcast, Time Warner and Direct TV, and I think they are the worst.

I HATE time warner!! Our interent goes out all the time and it takes them 3-4 days to send someone out to look at it. They accidently shut off our cable and internet one time and it took them 5 days to send someone out!!!! I was livid!!!

Is there a reason you are switching from Direct TV? I would go back to them if it was an option. They had the best customer service of any cable provider I have dealt with. Then again, I just had cable through them so I’m not sure about their phone or internet.

If you are looking for the best price, look elsewhere because although the prices seem competitve at first, after all the deals are done, they rise and rise. I probably call once every 6 months to renegotiate since we pay an arm and a leg. Sometimes they are receptive, but more than likely not, because there is no other cable provider where I live so I don’t have much bargaining power.

I’m on the hate TW bandwagon too! Lately a bunch of channels don’t work and/or the internet flakes out. So freaking annoying. Yet you call and “it must be your box/router because there’s no issue on our end”. What. Ever.

We’d switch if there was something else to go to that wasn’t a dish. 🙁

We didn’t have a problem with the actual cable service, but our internet literally went out once a week. It was such a pain in the ass. And on top of that, for some reason is was a monthly argument with their billing department over random extra charges (movies and such we didn’t buy) or double billing us for certain months.

Thankfully, Verison FIOS came to our neighborhood and we haven’t had a problem since.

We don’t have any trouble with our TW Internet, but their cable service makes me kinda mad.
