- Wedding: June 2019
Hi bees! It’s that time! I can’t believe it’s here already. I’m sketching out a rough idea of a timeline – would you guys be able to give me some advice or pointers on what should/could change?
8:00 am – Half the bridal party arrives at salon (hair only; not all the girls are getting pro makeup)
10::00 am – Other half of bridal party arrives at salon (both hair & makeup)
10:00 am – My mom goes to to the florist and pick up the pew markers and set them up – the church will already be all decorated otherwise
11:00 am – I arrive at salon for both my hair and makeup
12:30 pm – Head back home and get dressed. I’m leaving a bit of extra time for this because I want my photographer to get good photos!
1:15 pm – Leave house and head to site
1:30 pm – Arrive at church, hide in the basement (haha it’s a nice basement) and spend some time in prayer with my family
2:00 pm – Ceremony begins (full Catholic mass)
3:15ish pm – Ceremony ends; there will be a receiving line (I think). It’s a 15-minute drive to the reception space.
4:00 pm – Cocktail hour starts while VIPs get photos done
5:00 pm – Reception starts with grand entrance and first dance
5:15 pm – Dinner begins to be served while MoH and Bridesmaid or Best Man do champagne toasts
5:30 pm – Dinner (sometime during the course of which will be the mother/son and father/daughter dances)
6:30 pm – Dance floor opens up for a brief period
7:00 pm – Cake cutting and serving
7:15ish pm – Dance floor re-opens and stays open for the remainder of the night
9:00 pm – Reception ends
Does this look okay? Is there something that the timing is off for? I’ve been to so many weddings but I’ve never thought about timelines until my own wedding XD
