Martha Stewart Weddings says you need 2 hours for hair and makeup.  That’s about all I can contribute, sorry!

I’m doing airbrush makeup and hair – they also said it would be about 2 hours.

@Beckster329:  LOL your answer cracked me up. It’s like you referenced the Mirriam-Webster Big Book of Weddings or something.

@classicirreverance:  It’s hard to say with the pics, because that really depends on you guys and how many pics you want taken, like if it’s just a First Look being done ahead of time to capture the moment privately or if you’re doing that in lieu of formal pics between the ceremony and reception. But with hair and makeup, I’d say 2 hours sounds good.

Personally, I’d be starting on my hair no later than 9am.

Talk with hair person, make up person and photographer.  They should help you with that.

I am having my hair and make up started at 8am, they expect it to take about 2 hours, ceremony at 11 (I found a very nice salon that is going to open early for me!), luckily eveyrthing is only about 5 minutes away from the ceremony, so I should have plenty of time.

I would talk to for photog, but I would think that you should give at least 20 minutes for the first look if you are doing pictures, that’s if you only want a few.
