- Wedding: September 2016
I know I have a long way out to figure out my timeline for the day of. But I’m finding I need a timeline for photographers and stuff so here’s my question.
We are getting married at golf club, outside weather permitting. The reception will be there as well, inside their event center building. They’re litterally right next to each other.
We plan on having our pictures taken after the ceremony to respect the whole tradition of not seeing the bride in the dress before the walk down the isle. So most of the pictures we will take will be done after the ceremony. However, I was thinking I would maybe have the groom/groomsmen get their photos together before the ceremony since they take much less work to get ready haha. Our wedding party is only us, two groomsmen, two BM’s. (one of each will be best man and Maid/Matron of Honor so still only two) and my two little brothers will be ring bearers. We want a fairly short ceremony. So I figured this is a timeline
5 – ceremony
5:30 – (possibly earlier haven’t met with the officiant yet) start pictures
6:45 – Formal entrance as Mr and Mrs …
6:55 – food starts; having buffet style
7:30 – First Dance (could push to 7:45)
A)–our guest count will be around 130 so I am not sure how long I should plan for people to eat, also like i said its buffet style. I tend to be a fast eater myself. is 45 minutes enough time to plan for them to eat?
B) — is my time for pictures sufficient? or should i bump first dance to 745 and push everything up to allow hour and a half for pictures? We won’t be leaving the site for pictures. Theres so much beautiful scenery at the location.
would love any feedback you have to help me with this!!!
oh, and also our reception will be then from first dance to midnight… last song has to be done at midnight!
