I’m almost your timeline twin! Mine is by March 2012 but I am kinda hoping it happens sooner! I’m getting so excited! I feel so much better about waiting knowing that it’s really going to happen! Congrats on your waiting period slowly coming to an end!

If I don’t see us at least moving in that direction by New Years, I’m going to start asking some serious questions.

No, I’m about 6 months after (next June). My thing, and he’s aware of it, is that if nothing is in the works by our 3 yr anniversary I’ll take whatever steps I need to take, even if that means leaving. cause I refuse to be trapped in a stagnate relationship with someone who feels wishy-washy about me.

Anywhoo…. I’m kinda on your timeline only because I don’t want him driving me to the emotional edge and force me to consider leaving because I didn’t know, or he procrastinates and decides to wait till the very last minute to do something. Ideally, I’d hear some kind of indication before the end of the year. But I’m waiting to let him know procrastination is a no go when it comes to my emotions. Haven’t had a good opportunity yet.

You’re totally right though. It is less than 5 months. That’s not long at all. Hopefully the new year shows us all some love. 🙂

I’ll be your timeline twin!!! I haven’t given an ulitmatum or anything, but with the natural progression of our relationship and discussions we’ve had, I think New Year’s Eve would be the absolute last possible day that I could be engaged..

As of now, I’m feeling excited, but just ready to get the ball rolling!  I’m 29 and he’s 30.  We’ve been together over four years and lived together for one. I have the wedding planned out (in my head and on a spreadsheet) so that I know a realistic number of what to save.  I accidentally discovered that he’s been researching rings, but I haven’t brought it up or demanded any information.  I want to be surprised.

What’s your situation with your SO? Do tell!

Im on the same timeline too!! Hoping that Oct would be the longest he would make me wait! I don’t feel nervous…and I won’t feel totally excited until I have the ring on my finger.  But anxious…hell yes!!

I’m your twin as well! Or is that triplet? Anyway, I’m really anxious for it to happen and we agreed that we will be engaged by the end of the year. However, his hours just got cut back so I hope that doesn’t change it now. But either way, I’m very anxious and antsy about it finally happening!!

Hmmmm I think that my timeline is a lot slower than most – I think I’d like to be engaged by February 2013 at the latest. Although I obviously dream of much sooner! I dream of it happening right now. Anyone on a similar timeline to me?

Yeap, I have a timeline for proposal/engagement by end of this year, or if not then my birthday 10 days after.

SO has put a payment down on my e-ring, they will only hang on to it for 6 months so I hope I will have it before then!

Finally got a timeline from my Boyfriend or Best Friend last week after a nagging fit (I couldn’t help myself) of “by October.”  So I’m taking that to mean by the end of October but I don’t even want to psych myself up and then be disppointed if it doesn’t happen.  Honestly, it should happen by then if, financially, things keep going as they have been- meaning no car trouble, no other huge financial burdens that would make October less likely.  Also, he’s never ever given me a timeline before- he always says that I should just wait for it to happen and not ruin it by always asking questions.

EEEEEEEE! I’m so excited and can’t believe my time is almost here!  Now the hardest part will be not bringing it up and trying to forget about it so I can be surprised.  So exciting for all of us!

Good for you! I think 5 months is great and defintely doable. My timeline is within 8 months so that’s by March 2012.

I’m just worried because time seems to go by slower when you are focused on something. I may have to take a break from weddingbee in order for 8 months to go by a little quicker!

I’m sort of your timeline twin! We want to buy a house by the time our lease expries on Jan31st. My condition for buying said house is an engagement. So, I’m positive it will happen before the end of the year. Although, I do have my suspicions that it will happen sometime between three weeks from now and 5 weeks from now. (We’re going on a very romantic 2 week vacation!) 🙂

ooohhhh….Don’t tell me its only 5 months away!!! Man that seems so tomorrow… Tongue out

I am definitely wanting to get engaged by the end of 2011 but I am kind of fine until about 3 month after the new year. I don’t think I will just up and leave because that won’t bring us desireble result anyway. I think when the time comes (the time where I feel I had enough of waiting for a proposal) I will just sit down with him and mututally decide our engagement with or without a ring. If he resists and not have other plans in the works or whatsoever then well, you know its not going anywhere!
