I had some odd tingling feelings in my right arm upper area and then in my lip.  Mentioned it to my doctor and she wasn’t concerned.  She doesn’t get concerned at a lot of things.  But better to mention it to your doctor at your next appointment.  Or for peace of mind call the office and talk to the nurse.

talk to your doc about cubital tunnel syndrome- sounds like you may be laying/pressing on your ulnar nerve (funny bone) and that can cause the tingling in your pinky. I know this may not work (I’m newly pregnant and don’t have a bump to experiment for you, I’m sorry!) but I tell my patients to try hugging a pillow while sitting relaxing at night or while sleeping to prevent your arms from either being fully extended or fully flexed (so your elbows are bent 90-130 degrees). There are splints that are covered by insurance to keep you in this position, but try adjusting your positions before you consider this.  Also, ice your elbows while in the 90-130 degree position to try to get some swelling down (the swelling may not be noticable but see if it works).  Good luck!

I don’t know what it is, but I get this sometimes too. I mentioned it to my doctor and she didn’t seem too concerned. If I were you, I’d mention it to doctor at your next appointment just to keep her/him aware of everything!

Since you are pregnant, obviously you should talk to a doctor, but I just wanted to share that I get that exact sensation down my elbow to my last 2 fingers frequently.

No idea why, though it could be b/c of a cyst that I have in my wrist that comes and goes. It’s never been a big deal, and I’ve never mentioned it to a doctor. (I am not pregnant.)

My whole left hand goes numb when I wake up in the morning – but only takes a minute or so to regain sensation and blood flow. It’s annoying but I heard that pregnancy can aggravate carpel tunnel esp in the third trimester. I’m 36 weeks and this has been happening to me for the last few weeks.

Sound to me like it could be cubital tunnel. It’s really not a big deal, but I would mention it to your doctor. I have cubital tunnel right now actually, and it was caused by the way I was sleeping. My doctor just told me to sleep a different way and it’s going away. But your doctor would be able to tell for sure. I wouldn’t be worried though 🙂

@H2MrsDj:  +1, that sounds like an ulnar nerve issue. It’s probably nothing, but I’d bring it up to your physician. My Darling Husband has had 2 ulnar nerve transposition surgeries and a guyon canal release because his nerve was pinched, but this was due to scar tissue from baseball injuries. I’d guess that yours is probably acting up due to pregnancy changes in your body, but it can’t hurt to bring it up to your physician.

I experienced something similar in previous earlier weeks of this pregnancy. My doctor had no concerns for it, though and she attributed it to my body changing with hormones and more blood circulating causing some discomfort. I rarely feel it anymore, though and I’m only 8 weeks.
