I did a search but many are over a year old so….
In my Cosmo mag there was a Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer sample, I used the sample this AM (it was a SMALL sample) but my skin looks a bit more glowing than it normally does.
I usually use Skin79 BB Cream Super Plus Beblesh Balm Triple Functions – VIP Gold I’ve used it for a few years now and really like it, but my skin just doesn’t glow and in the winter especially it looks ruddy. Plus it’s been getting more expensive and takes forever to arrive via mail.
I was looking into other tinted moisturizers and wow there are a ton of brands. Can you bees tell me what brands you have used and what you liked or disliked about them?
I want medium to full coverage, I have combination skin that is prone to breakouts on my chin and I’m very fair. I like the natural look and something that doesn’t need to be applied perfect because I’m lazy and like to hurry and get ready in 20 min or less.

@Bazinga: I usually use tinted moisturizer in the summer when I have a base tan, but when I do, I like ELF’s tinted moisturizer. They have a a shade perfect for me, and the coverage was actually not as sheer as other moisturizers.

@MrsNewDay does the Elf brand make your face oily at all or break out?

I have been using the Pond’s Luminous Finish bb cream and have been liking it. I have combination skin that is pretty fair, and I find that it leaves a nice medium coverage with a luminous but not oily finish when I apply it.
I have also used the ELF tinted moisurizer, but it broke me out 🙁 (however it’s only $3 so it probably wouldn’t hurt to try it since everyones skin is different).
Tati from glam life guru on youtube has also recommended the new Physicians formula CC cream (in a silver package). I usually like the foundation/face products she suggests (though she does have oilier skin than I do).
As for high end, I also like the Dr. Jart gold tube of bb cream. It has great spf (45) and decent coverage and works well for lighter skin. It doesn’t dry down enough for my so I do set that one with a powder. Hope this helps!

I used to use Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer, but I got fed up of Sephora and the only other store in my city that carries it always being out of stock of my shade. I’ve used Clinique CC cream for almost a year now and I really like it.

I use Clinique BB cream and I loooove it.

@chemistryBee Yeah I’ve used Elf products before and they always either burn my skin or make me break out so I think I’ll stay away from that one. I can’t use the Pond’s Luminous Finish bb cream because I tried a sample of that and it reacted AWFUL with my skin and turned it orange, I thought I looked awesome then got outside in natural light, looked in my rearview and HOLY SHIT, I looked like an oompa loompa. I have no idea WTF happened but I ran back inside to wash my face. I might look in to the Physicians formula, I use their powder and it’s really good and doesn’t make me break out.
@canarydiamond After using both Laura Mercier and Clinique, which one did you like better?Have you tried the Clinique BB cream or just the CC cream? I’m so confused as to the difference between the two!
@whoa_its_ash I’ve used Clinique products before and really liked them. How’s the coverage with the Clinique BB cream? Also have you used their CC cream? Like I asked canarydiamond above, I’m unsure of the difference between the BB cream and the CC cream.

@Bazinga: I love love Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer, it’s so fantastic. I’ve been using it for years! My face is pretty clear so I don’t need a ton of coverage, but when I feel like I do I just layer it on a bit since it’s fairly sheer.

@HoyaTerpDC Thanks for the input! I like what I see but the sample was SO small so it’s hard to tell how much is just the product or product plus my face powder. We will see, right now my face is starting to look a little shiny but that’s not uncommon. I don’t need a ton of coverage, just enough to even out my skin tone and give a little coverage to old acne scars that aren’t too red.

I use Physician’s Formula Organic Wear tinted moisturizer. It has naturally derived sunscreen in it and covers blemishes flawlessly. I love it.

I use the Laura Mercier tinted mousturizer every day, even through the winter. it has a bit more coverage then its MAC counterpart and thats exactly what I was looking for.

@Bazinga: I have super similar skin to yours, and I use the Smashbox Photo Finish BB cream, with Benefit Hello Gorgeous powder and some Nars blush. And that’s it – my skin can’t handle too many products!

@Bazinga: I use Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and it is amazing. I have used many other brands ranging in price but always go back to Laura Mercier’s, it’s light and has the perfect amount of coverage and it has spf in it! It is so worth the splurge for it.

I’ve been using Tarte tinted moisturizer and I always set it with powder. I like it- it seems to work OK. It has light to medium coverage I think…but it has really good ingredients and I like that it is free of a lot of bad stuff. I’m pretty finnicky about makeup…I have a hard time finding a “holy grail” product and sticking with it! I’m always trying new things. I’ve yet to find something I really love. I never found a BB or CC cream that did anything more than a TM did. Maybe I’ll try the Laura Mercier TM next! 🙂

I use Garnier Skin Renew. They have one for regular and one for oily skin. I dont have super oily skin, but with the regular one I had a “dewy” conplexion and had to apply powder more than once if I didn’t want to be shiny. The one for oily skin is my most favorite product. It goes on great with good coverage, but doesnt feel heavy. I use a dime-sized amount, it covers everything and stays put all day. One tube will last me 2-3 months.
