Mr. 99 yelled at me in the shower this morning, I was in there, half asleep, kind of washing my face when I turned around to grab something and he points and looks at my stomach.
“Oh my god Nona! Look at your abs! You’re getting that sexy crease down the middle!”
Well, that woke me up in a hurry! I looked down and sure enough, the muscles are starting to show big time around my ribs, the tell tale crease is about half way to my belly button, lower than that…well, its a process, but the whole area is noticably flatter and thinner so I guess I’m on my way back to one of those sexy tummies I have envied for 6 years!
Just another tiny victory that keeps me going, even after I kind of blew out my abs last night working out at home….
From now on, this shall be known as the Tiny Victory Turtle!
Feel free to share your YAY moments today!

@Nona99: Congrats – how exciting! I love it when hard work in gym starts to show on the outside!!! Mine is wedding related – I PICKED SHOES!!! I was way over thinking it, but the decision is made. It’s done. (Still trying to convince myself…)

@Nona99: ERMAHGERD! Love the Tiny Turtle 🙂
My tiny victory is that I made it into work today. I called out yesterday with a fever, the baby is sick, and apparently we BOTH have RSV 🙁 She also has an ear infection… which is totally treatable thank goodness. Sleepless baby, sick mama, and the first trimester exhaustion/queasiness, yeahhhhhh it’s kinda killing me.
Oh well, there’s a saying… “This too shall pass” or something like that, right?

@donna_saur: Shoes are a big deal. I love every pair in my closet, and have saved and scrimped for months on end for certain pairs that I just had to have!

@DaneLady: Duuuuuuude. That sucks and I’m sorry! You totally had a victory when you got up at all, you’re my personal hero right now, because if that was me, it would not have happened…at all!

@Nona99: I didn’t die in the massive amount of lake effect snow we got this morning during rush hour. I have to take roads that are not a priority for plowing first into work. But hey, not dead? Total victory!

@Sunfire: Blarg! I am not a working out kind of person, so this is a pretty big stretch for me, because I love coming home from work, having a glass of wine, eating dinner and conking out on the couch….but at least a month’s worth of hard work is starting to show itself! You gotta be ready, and until you are….have a glass and a nap for me! I miss them so!

I am two steps closer to getting DD’s passport organized. Gawd what a pain in the flippin ass this process is! But — photos taken and submitted to Rite Aid to print, and the form is filled out and sent to DH … so while there are still many steps left before I actually get the passport in my hot little hand, I have moved closer to the goal! It’s always a victory to cross some irritating tasks off the to-do list, and all this passport stuff has been on the list for a while now!
