I’ve seen some older posts about tipping but not many recent ones and not catering to my situation.
We are having a wedding (ceremony and reception) at an all inclusive place. It’s amazing and I would highly recommend it!
Through their services, we have: security (mandatory), catering, florist (but we added about $300 on top), cake (we added ~$75 on top), photobooth, ice cream bar and gormet coffee bar, rehearsal and day of coordinator, and likely the officiant. Most of these extras are outside companies that work with the wedding venue and are included in the package via the venue Without the $$ we added, it cost about $15,000 including a 16% service charge!
Our DJ costs about $2000, Hair and makeup costs about $1000 if I pay for my bridesmaids makeup (this may change to $500 because $1000 seems too high), photography costs ~ $770.
My question, do I tip the venue though there is a 16% service charge and do I tip the companies that contract with them? Do I tip the photog (he runs his own company) and do I tip the DJ? I’m sure i tip hair and makeup, but how much would you recommend?
