As far as tipping goes what percentage or amount of money are you tipping your vendors and which ones are you tipping? Also, do I have to tip the day of or can I send the tip in a thank you card post wedding?

Great question! I’m not getting married until 1/19/13, but I am trying to calculate tips so that I can budget for them. Fingers crossed that you get some good feedback on this question.

I thought with the prices of the vendors, tipping really does not come to mind…. oops

I asked my parents and they said 15% to 20% per vendor is what they plan to tip. The wait staff will be tip-included in the caterer’s portion since they work for the same company, the MUA, florist and everyone else will be tipped on the day of. My parents insist on seeing the final product prior to tipping for it – which I think personally is pretty fair.

I think the only one I tipped was my mua/hair person. The caterer had an 18% service fee built into mandatory pricing and everyone else was the owner of their business who typically is not tipped.
