For those of you having a church ceremony and reception in a different location, I’d love to see your tip list.
I didn’t think I needed to tip our officiant since we’re paying quite a bit for our ceremony, nor did I think of tipping our day of coordinator since she works for herself and set her own fee. Staff, of course. Hair/makeup, bartenders, servers, etc. But do you need to tip those who are their own business as well? I don’t want to slight anyone, but we’re also on a budget.
Suggestions? I’d love to see some actualy lists from people. Thanks!

We’ll be tipping/gifting our officiant because he’ll be doing the ceremony for free. We are members of that church since childhood and he is like a family friend (even though we don’t go to church anymore and don’t even live there now)
We’ll obviously be tipping the staff at the restaurant afterwards. Other than that we don’t have too much going on.
I’ve heard, as a general rule, they should be tipped if they work for someone. As in, they don’t own the business.

That’s what I’m thinking. The church is costing us quite a bit, so I’m not thinking I need to tip – maybe a couple bucks for the altar servers.
