I don’t tip when I get laser hair removal. But if you feel like you want to because of the service then go for it. The place I go feels more like a doctor’s office sometimes so I feel like I would be tipping my doctor but if the place you go is like a spa then I you can tip whatever you think fit.

How much is it per session? You can tip 10-15% or more

I did laser hair removal through a groupon deal and they made it pretty clear that a tip was expected on the original amount.  I don’t know if I would have known otherwise, but they weren’t shy about mentioning it.  It was a spa like place, definitely not a medical office.  HTH!

I’ve tipped when a person has done a great job– going quickly on sensitive parts and making those particular sessions less stressful.  Once I think I tipped $10 because I got a girl who was just fabulous– it was a combination medical/spa-ish place, though felt more medical than the place I’m going to now which is more like a hole-in-the-wall (but so dang cheap from groupon that I am just fine with it!).  I don’t tip there because I paid with the Groupon and just waltz my way right on out… I might consider tipping next time, but I’d feel awkward just handing her cash?

I think if she’s giving you all these extras (wish you lived closer to me!) then you can throw her $10%.

Only a little related: I had 4 sessions less than a year ago and I feel like most of the hair just came back, though, so I’m a little disappointed with laser hair removal.  Have your follow-up sessions helped at all? I’m wary to just throw more money into it.  (I’ve got dark hair and things were spectacular while I was in the ~6 months of treatment, but now it feels like things just came right back!)

@AB Bride:  I definitely have some of the hormonal hair growth– PCOS over here.   I don’t feel much pain at all on my legs and underarms, it was a swimsuit area that was particularly painful.  I’ve got 3 more leg treatments on this Groupon so I think I’ll see how those go and reassess how I feel about it.  If I’m just throwing money into laser treatments I’d almost rather do electrolysis– I’d have to chip away at it very slowly over time (because of the cost) but I’d rather have something permanent than what feels like just throwing money in a bucket to have hair coming back!

I do occasionally notice times when I have less hair, so it’s not a total loss, just not as much reduction as I was hoping for! I loved those times in between treatments when all the hair fell out!
