- Wedding: July 2013
So I’m planning out the last bits of my October 5th wedding– yay!!! Nitty gritty details– boooooo.
I was curious about everyone’s thoughts on tipping. I assumed it should be 20% which is kind of a LOT in my case (detaisl on wedding below) but Fiance said we shouldnt tip the regular amount. So onto the specifics: (I’m not ashamed of putting my pricing up there so whatever)
Fiance and I are eloping (basically) in Hawaii. I have my dress, he will wear a suit that he owns. We will most likely be barefoot. We have a hair/makeup artist for me, an officiant and a photographer.
MUA: I am getting full hair and makeup done PLUS a spray tan the day before: $300 total (already paid $100 deposit)
Officiant: Smallest package costs $300 (this includes a licensed minister, help with the marriage license in Maui, location permits and leis– already paid $100 deposit)
Photographer: $1400 We get 2 full hours of photography, ALL High Resolution Images on disk with duplication release, digitally edited images, posted on a secure website, selected images converted to black and white, or sepia toned versions, online slideshow of best images. (She will be paid in full by the time we get there– half upfront and half next month)
With my plan, I was thinking $60 tip for MUA, $60 tip for officiant and (eek) $280 tip for photogrpaher. FI says because these people own their own businesses, the tip is factored into their cost and we can give the MUA and officiant $50 eahc and the photographer $100 and be fine.
What do you think ladies?
