    @1stRosie:  I agree with your fiance as well.  In my opinion, they set the cost of their services, and you pay the price that they set.  The tip is extra, and is not the same as tipping a server at a restaurant who doesn’t make a large wage for their service (without the tip).  I may go a little higher on the photographer (just as a comparison, we are paying $800 for our photographer and will likely tip her $100), but I probably wouldn’t tip $280.  And I would only tip them over $100 if they do an exceptional job.  Just my opinion though; I’m far from an expert!

    I think that a small tip or no tip is fine if they own their own businesses and set their own prices.
