Our florist owns her own business. I made several changes along the way and she pulled everything off beautifully. When she came to drop off our bouquets and pick up her check, she had to wait 45 minutes since I was still getting my hair done. I felt pretty bad about that because I know she was not happy.
Our total bill was about $2,500 (which is pretty good for a major city, in my opinion) and included bouquets, bout’s, corsages, church decorations and reception decorations and centerpieces.
The invoice did include $320 for set up and delivery fee’s. Plus the mark up on the arrangements (I assume a the flowers for the bouquet cost less that what we would pay for the bouquet once constructed).
I would like to tip her for her efforts but am not sure what amount is appropriate. I have tried googling it, but am getting conflicting suggestions. I am not loaded with money at this point, so 15% of the bill sounds like A LOT, but I still want to let her know I appreciate her.
I would love to get your opinions. How much to tip a self-employed florist who did a good job?
