Great tips! I wish we had eloped to Paris. We are too far deep now in invites, planning and 2.5 months away, so planning a paris honeymoon instead. Any pointers on hotels that are close to the Eiffel tower that are romantic? 🙂

Thank You.

@MrsElopement:  This could not be more timely! Thank you so much for sharing your experience/advice!  My fiance and I are eloping to Paris on September 5. We are taking my parents, with my dad as officiant, and a friend.  We have booked One and Only Paris as our photographer.

The location we have chosen is in a public location along the Seine, due in large part to budget considerations (but also because it’s pretty), and I’ve been worried about when to have the ceremony when tourists will not be swarming the site. Our original plan was to have an evening ceremony (which One and Only recommended, because the light is better), but, like you, I’ve been thinking that morning would be less crowded. What time in the morning was your ceremony? Of course, after the evening ceremony we would have gone to dinner for a “reception,” but in the morning…I guess we could do a breakfast reception? Did you do anything afterward?

Thanks for these tips!  Your wedding is totally inspiring me to do a photoshoot in Paris.  We’re going there for our honeymoon in July and now I’m dying over all the amazing photos of weddings/elopments/engagements in the city.  I am loving One and Only’s photos, but am afraid they’re out of our range.  Any idea what they charge for like a 2 hour session?

@Mrs.Roscoe:  I contacted a few Paris photgraphers as I will be eloping there in May of 2013.  I too liked One and Only’s picture, but I didnt notice until my finace pointed it out, that they basically poise the same 10 shots only, not much variety, but either way, this is what the sent back I hope it help.

Our Elopement package starts at 975 euros and includes:
– 2 hours of shooting, 30 minutes of traveling and many hours of post-production.
– Post production on every photo delivered.
– Digital delivery of all photos (usually over 120 different photos for our 2.5 hour package).
Elopements usually require between 2.5 to 5 hours depending on your ceremony. (Will it be a simple exchange of vows at one of our locations in the city, or a church ceremony? do you want getting ready shots with details like shoes and dress? a cake cutting? a table decoration?)

– Extra hours if requested are 390 euros per hour of shooting and include several hours of extensive post production on all photos.

Shoots are usually the last few hours before sunset. This is the best light to make you look good.
