Aww I totally understand. I still haven’t made a whole lot of friends in Salt Lake! I think a book club would be a great idea to make friends. I’ve tried to get into a knitting group, but none have worked with my work schedule! The one friend I’ve made that I consistently hang out with was a coworker. I’m not sure how great of advice I can give, then.. but I can tell you I totally understand!

Dallas to Wyoming? D:

I’m really terrible at meeting people. Most new people I meet are through work. :/

@JackieDe: Ahh I feel so whiny all the time, lol! My coworkers will talk about their plans for the weekend and I’m like, yeah.. I think I might knit.. play DS and watch Forensic Files like every other weekend, LOL.

Are there any other local things you can get involved in? Like a Jaycees/Kiwanas group, or a church/religion group if you attend somewhere? I know my town has a ‘beer softball league’ that’s just a laid back thing where half the town plays and it seems the other half of town comes to watch. Could be little things to look into. Last ditch effort- invite your neighbors over for a dinner party 🙂 Small towns can be tough nuts to crack, but if you find yourself one or two good gal pals, you’ll slowly be introduced to others.

My friends and I were just talking about this today-What would we do if we had to move away to a new place?  At our age (late 20s) besides work, where does a girl meet new girlfriends?  Good luck to you!
