As soon as my daughter wakes up in morning (she’ll be two next month)…i take her pamper off and let her be naked. i put her training petty in front of the tv while she watches cartoons while i get them ready and myself. my daughter does both poop and pee in her potty. always make poo or pee in in the potty a big production…kids get more excited and show more eagerness. i started doing this a month ago and she only had a few accidents on the floor. after kids drink water…they usually pee 20-30 mins after and after eating they poo 20- 1 hour after. kids get into squatting positions when they have to potty …some kids will go hide and for their business and will also stop what they r doing and become silent. hope this helps.

You could also buy a book of stickers and when they go potty…they get a sticker. i bought my oldet daughter a potty training book with her favorite character. target has a few. but with my oldest…i had to bribe her…if she went potty…she got her favorite peach tea. friends of ours used cookies or candy.

We are doing M&M’s.  Chocolate is a big motivator for anyone!  You do something on the potty- you get an M&M.

@Ninteenthchance:  i worked at a day care for 6 years and stickers always helped! my boss told me i cant bribe the children its “not rite” but them kids loved sticers and “can i pee for a sticker now” if they had an accident i would tell them you know i cant give you a sticker today because you didnt use the potty…of course some cried but then later, i want to pee can i have a new sticker now…i swear it worked! i also did fun things like the child who did it got to be the leader for the day and such things like that. OH try food coloring….i was teaching the todlers that blue and yellow make grean (with paint) well walk to the bathroom and try that out… no harm in putting a few blue drops in your potty at home! OMG the boys loved it! girls not so much because they didnt see it change right away but when they got up boy were they excited “i changed the color!!!”  DONT yell if they have an accident but always get excited when they do use the potty, and ask often…good luck!
