- Wedding: October 2011
A Save the Date was sent to my FI’s parents house. My Future Mother-In-Law opened the envelope as it was addressed to Mr. & Mrs… (my Fiance and Future Father-In-Law share the same name). When she opened the envelope and found the magnet save the date, she didn’t know who the people where and then thought it was meant for us. So she sent it over to our new house. Fiance and I had no idea who the people were either.
The magnet only had first names, no indication of where the wedding was to take place, and the picture of the two of them were side profiles from far away. We then looked at the envelope for clues…which didn’t help until I googled a last name.
After several back and forths of who do you think it is? And several days. I finally did a google search…and I figured out the mystery!!!! It was a former neighbor and the Save the Date is meant for my FIL’s. None of us knew she was even engaged.
So future brides, please put some clues as to who you are on your Save the Dates, since you will undoubtebly send a few to some people you rarely see or don’t know that well.
