calikat:  I think my SO will propose this weekend. Yes, I really do. So in the interim, I’ve been distracted by full time work. But when I am not at work, it’s kind of hard not to focus on anything else. My mind gets curious you know? I don’t live with my SO. I still live at home with my family. So most times when I interact with them, I’m always on the look out for hints or signs in their body language that will confirm proposal will happen this weekend. When I talk to my Dad, I find myself asking (in my mind) if my SO has asked for his blessing. And when I talk to my sister, I wonder if she’s also in on the act. It is a challenging thing. Knowing of the impending proposal.

If I were you, I would try not to think about it at all. I feel I may have spoiled it for myself and if the proposal does happen, I won’t be as surprised as I feel I should.

So yes, please try not to think about it. Busy yourself with things to do. Go for a run, etc. Argh, I’m not helping am I? Yikes!
