@vanilla44:  OMG I just had this thought for the first time last night!!

@Rivendeler:  spanx are the undergarments you wear that suck everything in

So, I didn’t think about this before my wedding, wish I did though!! .I had to learn that night..LOL..I had a fit n flare gown, tight to the hips so I couldn’t pull up the dress to even get my undies down. Luckily, I wasn’t wearing any spanx, or stockings so My sister held my dress, I faced the toilet (so she could hold the dress behind me, pulled undies to the side and just went. We laughed the entire time. THe bottom of my dress was pretty big, and she was able to hold it herself, so just your sis should be fine.

So what i learned, is if your dress is tight to past your waist you probably won’t even be able to reach the top of your spanx to pull them down. Where is yours tight to? you may have to rethink what you’re wearing underneath. Are you wearing the Spanx Power Panties? I thought they have the hole in the gusset to use??

Good luck!

I think I’m wearing spanx bottoms, and a strapless bra or the spanx that is like a tube-top (I’m undecided)… but basically I plan to actually take my dress off and go to the bathroom and put it back on.  It’s a zipper back, so as long as I have someone to help me pull it up and zip it, I think it will work out ok.

I took my dress completley off, I stepped out of it and let my sister hold it, pulled up my slip and did my business lol

If you can’t take it off i’ve read that you lift it up and straddle the toilet, facing the wall and have someone who loves you hold your train up so it doesnt lay on the toilet.

You may have to take the dress off completely if you can’t maneuver the Spanx down while in the dress.

@vanilla44:  So I just went and looked at my pair of Power Panties and they def have the hole, maybe try to get another pair? I’m fairly confident that most of the Spanx products do (i wear them a lot)  Also, does your dress zip up or corset lace up? Mine laced up so I couldn’t take it off.  Could you just take a pair of scissors with you and cut a hole so when you’re ready to use the bathroom you can just cut it?? LOL..

Lol, it sounds hilarious!  I would also just take a pair of scissors with and cut them when you need to go.

I didn’t have a tight dress or spanx but I just lifted my dress and sat like normal.  I didn’t have help but I only went two times in my dress (one before the ceremony as a precaution and then once at the reception).
