As long as he isn’t literally ripping the dress off you, I’m sure it will be fine. Just make sure he takes his time unbuttoning it.

If he does get a little over zealous in removing the dress I doubt it’d be difficult to get a tailor to sew the button back on

I’ve heard of people using knitting hooks to get the dress on and off.

Pack a crochet hook. I was moh for my friend and we had to use one to do it up, and then I had to deliver it to her hotel at 1am.

Is there a zipper behind the buttons? Maybe you could have a bridesmaid/mom whatever unhook the buttons before you leave and then your husband can just unzip you.

Even if you damage one or two, it is a very simple repair.

My bridesmaids did me up with crochet hooks…we’d meant to put one in the overnight bag, but I forgot, and my husband was able to unbutton everything fairly quickly with no dress damage. I suggest you add a crochet hook to your packing list, just in case he struggles with it a bit!

I undid the zipper, bent down, and Darling Husband pulled it off for me.  There was a lot of dress but once he got holdof it, it just slipped off
