Other than Buzz Lightyear (which, to me sounds a bit childish… maybe just use the saying?), are there any other movies you like?  Seasons?  Favorite places?  Animals, pets, etc???  What type of movies do you like? As in genres.  TV shows?

Take something you like, then put a twist on it.

example: My Fiance and I love D&D.  We have characters that we’ve played (either online or in life) and I took his character’s main weapon and my character’s ‘calling card’/alias and made a logo for our wedding.  (the logo has now become more than just for the wedding, it’s now our family’s “logo”/sigil.)

We made ours unique by looking for lots of ideas from the internet that were different from things that are commonly done in weddings in our area, simple things like incorporating paper cranes, having program scrolls,  rubber stamping my invites and envelopes, DIYing a lot of things made the wedding seem so unique, people are still raving about the little details and people are still using the fans I made!! It makes me so  happy

Basically I think the little details make it unique

@brighteyedgirl: If it helps, I also used guitar picks in the bouts and plan on attaching one to my bouquet (my Fiance plays and teaches).

I also figured out how to sneak a little star trek into the wedding, too! YAY!!!  (and I doubt ANYONE will see it coming, lol)

Once you figure out what you guys like/love, it’s pretty easy to use it in some way.  If you need any ideas, you can always just send me a PM. 🙂  I’m full of geeky/nerdy ideas 😉

I wouldn’t stress too hard yet. Only because I have said this over and over and little by little things came to me out of the planning process. I think if I sat down and tried at the beginning it would have seemed forced.
