With only 3 months until the wedding, I’m still sporting a much shorter-than-ideal bob and would love some tips on what I can do to help my hair grow faster. I just switched to washing it every other day (based on the advice of my hair dresser) and I’m working on massaging my scalp for a couple of minutes every day too to stimulate the oils.
Does anyone have any other tips? Any herbal supplements that might work? Help!

Try prenatal vitamins. I’ve heard that works!

In My Humble Opinion I don’t think there is any magical secret to making your hair grow. Some people swear by prenatal vitamins, but they didn’t do anything for me. I’ve heard commercials on the radio for “Ovation Cell Therapy” (I may be spelling it wrong…), but I personally think it’s a gimmic.
GL – I hope you find something!

There is a Hair, Nails, and Skin vitamin from GNC: http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3519046&cp=3703232′ defer=’defer
I haven’t tried it yet though so I’m not sure how well it works.

I’m going to ditto the prenatal vitamin comment. When I started taking mine (for pregnancy, not trying to grow my hair) my hair and nails started to grow much faster than normal, and my nails were much thicker/stronger than normal too…which was a welcome blessing as they’re normally pretty easy to break.

Im taking GNC’s Hair Skin and Nails vitamins. I’ve only been taking them for 2 weeks, so I haven’t noticed anything major in terms of hair growth… I do notice my nails are a lot shinier than they once were!

Which brand of pre-natal vitamins?

I don’t know if it’ll help but when I trim my split ends on a regular basis (once every 4-6 weeks) I tend to find my hair grows quite quickly. Have you considered extensions for your wedding? That’s the easiest way to do it.
