I was always told that you tip those who don’t own their own businesses.  I would tip 20% for the wedding, and probably 15% for trials.  For example, my photographer owns his own business, therefore he sets his own prices.  I’m not going to pay him more than what he asked because it all goes back to him.  My DJ is part of a group.  The money goes to the group not him directly, so I will tip him.

We didn’t tip. Gratuity was included in our bill for the catering, the rest of our vendors all were the owners of thier businesses. I just don’t think tip is necessary on top of the hundreds or even thousands I paid my vendors. I assume they charged me a fair price and don’t need tip on top of that to make ends meet.
