- Wedding: May 2012
So me and the hubby have been married over about 15 months now and unfortunately when we First said our I do’s we weren’t able to afford a big wedding and instead had a small chapel wedding with about 10 of our relatives. So many family members were disappointed because they missed out on our special day(especially my dad). I was especially kinda bummed because even though I was happy to be married I also wanted to have the whole “bride” experience. Now that we can afford it, we made the decision to have the wedding that we really wanted since we didn’t even have a reception, honeymoon or anything. What really is grinding my gears now is all the negative comments and suggestions that followed after we made our announcement that wwere renewing our vows. It’s so disheartening and depressing at times but I feel like we are doing something to make us happy. Now I get why and you all should just have a big reception but that’s not what we want. I don’t know what to do a out the negativity but I’m having my wedding regardless. My question is how do you politely tell people to butt out and just get over themselves???? HELP!!!
