I was like that for a while.  Just hang in there you never know when he’ll do it then it will be all worth it! 🙂

I’m sorry you’re so stressed about this.  Has he given valid reasons for why it didn’t happen on those dates?

There is a past post on the stages of waiting, and there is definitely a stage where you don’t even want a proposal anymore.  Take a look at that, and then?  Take a break.  Ignore how badly you want this proposal and bury yourself into a passion for awhile, even just a month.

Waiting Stage 2? I think. :/ Sorry you feel this way. It’s really annoying not having a definitive answer sometimes.

i would be pissed if he gave me a timeline and then didn’t do it by that time. that’s breaking a promise. he should be trying to show you that he will keep his promises to you

well, in all honesty, it sounds like he may just need more time.

A lot of bees on here waiting five, six even ten years!

@chesseplease: Money Money Money? For what? Your ring? or do you both have to pay for your own wedding? Plus just like I told my SO last night, we will be engaged for almost a year, so we can save up money during that time, why wait on the engagement?

@Anxiouspeanut: That’s a really good point. I can get perhaps putting away some dough so buying a ring doesn’t make such a dent in the checking account. But waiting to propose until you can afford a wedding? It’s not an illegitimate point. But it is something that doesn’t have to be on one person and it’s not exactly valid when it comes to being engaged. You don’t have to pay for the wedding the day you propose.

I might use that line sometime. Smile

@claireos: Yeah I did last night lol… I put it in perspective that all you have to save up for is the ring which for me is about $1000.00 or under .. and then if he has a few bills he wants to pay off or save up for the wedding than he can do that while you are engaged. For some reason some men think the next big step is right to marriage, they dont realize that there is the process of being engaged before that…

I would not stand for him telling me something then it doesn’t happen. I second the time apart.
