I am having a garden/antique theme….lost of lace, pearls, cream and soft pink colours. What do you think of my DIY doily tissue packs?
By the way, they only cost me $6 to make 35+. Doilies, pearls & hot glue sticks were purchased at the dollar store. Travel size tissue packs were purchased at Shoppers Drugmart.

I don’t understand what they are for but they look nice.

@june2013bride: I like them. I think it would be cute to add a note what they are for though. Like maybe a gift tag or something. Or maybe a ribbon.

@Bkeriopi: I hope I can explain this so it makes sense.
This is what you will need
*1 package of 16″ paper doilies (dollar store had a huge selection)
*Half pearls with sticker attached (or any embellishment that suits your theme)
*travel size tissue packs (mine came in a value pack of 8 packs with 10 tissues in each)
Assembling Tissue Packs
Cut the paper doilies in half, this will make 2 envelopes.
Lay one half of the paper doily on the table with the lace facing away from you and the centre of the doily facing towards you.
Fold a 1cm crease at the bottom of the doily. (the part facing towards you)
Place 1-2 pre-folded tissues in the centre of the doily just above the crease you made.
Before you glue fold each side of the doily towards the middle to make your creases.
Take the Left side of the doily and add a small dab of hot glue to the bottom inner corner and press it to the crease you made at the bottom.
Take the Right side and hot glue the bottom inner corner to the left side of the doily.
Take the top lacy flap and add a small dab of hot glue to the bottom corner. Be careful not to glue your tissues.
Add a sticker, crystal, pearl or bow for embellishment.

@joya_aspera: I always cry at weddings and usually forget tissues so I made these for the guests who are in need of tissues. I plan on placing them at the entrance of our venue so guests can grab a pack before sitting down.

@harperlynn: I am placing a sign in front of the basket that will be holding them.

@GIJen: I think they’re for happy tears during the ceremony. Usually you’ll see tissue packs next to the programs. I actually love when they’re available because I always cry during ceremonies (shhhhh).
