Thanks everybody for the tips. Some people have taken what I wrote kinda wrong…its been two weeks since i have taken a good healthy poop. There were days in that 2 week time period where I did go but it was barely anything or hard.
I haven’t tried any laxatives yet, I am afraid to leave my house if I do that so I may wait til the weekend. I know prune juice is supposed to help because that’s what I had to do when I was pregnant- except I had to drink a lot of prune juice and take a stool softener.
I am terrified to take anything with added fiber, I used to eat fiber one bars and they are delicious but after 2 days I was ended up in extreme pain and actually went to the ER because I couldn’t move.
I do track what I eat (myFitnesspal) and it says I am supposed to get 14g of fiber and the past couple days I have been taking in 11-15 g of fiber. I increased my water intake (no less then 64oz), decreased my coffee and soda intake. I started back on my cardio plan again.
Sorry to say that nothing has happened yet.

@ecrowe1218: If coffee doesnt work for me I take 1-2 GENTLE Laxative pills. It helps a lot.

Popcorn! Yummy, safe to leave the house, effective 😉
(as in, a large bowl of it, no sharing :P)

@ecrowe1218: Take Senna once a day – it is a stool softener…..not a laxitive that will make you seriuously poop a lot but just will soften it to make you more regular.

Everyone talks about upping your fibre intake but you need to make sure you drink heaps of water too. I find that I get constipated when I haven’t drunk enough water. Also, you could try drinking prune juice. I sometimes zap half a cup of the juice in the microwave and drink it warm to hot.

Just an update…thanks for all the suggestions. I did go on Friday! I have been regular since. I basically just increased my water and decreased my soda/coffee intake.

congrats on the poo ; ) as a nurse, i love to talk about poop. lol. i have tummy issues and have taken to eating one prune a day and drink lots of water. the prune, even just the one, oddly helps out. the sunbelt ones with the cherry essence are fantastic.

Activia is more for ppl with ibs, chrons, and digestive disorders. It helps regulate our systems. It doesn’t really help unless you have existing issues.

A LOT of coffee at once does it for me… drink it in the mornign though or you won’t sleep at all. At least five cups.

For future reference, or anyone else….
My have a lot of digestive issues because of my endometriosis. Here is a smoothie I drink basically every morning, which keeps things moving well.
1 green or yellow pear
1 cup cold water
3 mint leaves
2 tsp – 1 tbsp hemp hearts
Splash of maple syrup/honey/agave
Blend and drink!
Hemp hearts are amazing for bowel activity. Be sure to drink lots of water when you eat them, and don’t eat them with anything starchy/carby like toast or potatoes. You can put them in salads too (yummy). If you eat them, the first few days you might feel a bit crampy but it shouldn’t be too bad. Drink lots of water. After about 4 days, you will be SO regular. Seriously, it’s magical.
