@ecrowe1218:  If coffee doesnt work for me I take 1-2 GENTLE Laxative pills.   It helps a lot.

@ecrowe1218:  Take Senna once a day – it is a stool softener…..not a laxitive that will make you seriuously poop a lot but just will soften it to make you more regular.

Everyone talks about upping your fibre intake but you need to make sure you drink heaps of water too. I find that I get constipated when I haven’t drunk enough water. Also, you could try drinking prune juice. I sometimes zap half a cup of the juice in the microwave and drink it warm to hot.

@ecrowe1218:  congrats on the poo ;  ) as a nurse, i love to talk about poop.  lol.  i have tummy issues and have taken to eating one prune a day and drink lots of water.  the prune, even just the one, oddly helps out.  the sunbelt ones with the cherry essence are fantastic.

Activia is more for ppl with ibs, chrons, and digestive disorders. It helps regulate our systems. It doesn’t really help unless you have existing issues.

A LOT of coffee at once does it for me… drink it in the mornign though or you won’t sleep at all. At least five cups.

For future reference, or anyone else….

My have a lot of digestive issues because of my endometriosis. Here is a smoothie I drink basically every morning, which keeps things moving well.

1 banana

1 green or yellow pear

1 cup cold water

3 mint leaves

2 tsp – 1 tbsp hemp hearts

Splash of maple syrup/honey/agave

Blend and drink!

Hemp hearts are amazing for bowel activity. Be sure to drink lots of water when you eat them, and don’t eat them with anything starchy/carby like toast or potatoes. You can put them in salads too (yummy). If you eat them, the first few days you might feel a bit crampy but it shouldn’t be too bad. Drink lots of water. After about 4 days, you will be SO regular. Seriously, it’s magical.

Licorice root tea. It’s amazing! Just make sure your near the bathroom when you drink it 🙂
