I am on OCP but I missed 2 non consecutive days and took a few pills at strange times in the same week that I was ovulating. Around the same time I had unprotected sex with my SO.
I usually drink a glass of wine with dinner and have 2+ standard drinks about twice a week (social drinking). Over the last 2 weeks, I have had a complete aversion to alcohol. I tried to drink a glass of wine when I was out with friends last night, it tasted bitter (it was a really nice bottle so I dont tink it was the wine) and I felt really strange drinking it. This is incredibly strange for me. Has anyone else expereinced this as an early pregnancy sign? Or is my body just telling me to stop drinking wine?

Aus_Bee : my first pregnancy (unplanned and unexpected) I sat down with a drink and the same thing happened. I inituatively knew not to drink it after a couple of sips (and I love my booze). Next day I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. It could be a sign! The same thing happened to my friend, she was a bit further along though.

Likely not. Take a test, though.

Last Friday I went out with my Darling Husband and took a few sips of my beer. It tasted off. I couldn’t even finish it which is weird because I love beer. Later in the night sitting at a different bar the smell of alcohol was repulsing to me. I couldn’t imagine having a drink right then. That has never happened to me! Well, tested and BFN. So no it doesn’t mean anything necessarily.

Idk man. All I know is that I’ve never wanted a drink more than I have since getting pregnant. 🤦♀️

I mean it’s possibly but probably not likely. Could you be getting sick? Whenever i start to get sick my body finds alcohol disgusting.

I’d just take a test. If your body is pregnant enough to be giving you food aversions, you’re probably pregnant enough to show up on a test.
I had a few drinks the day before i found out I am pregnant. It tasted fine (mmmmm I love wine) but I felt more buzzed than I would have expected for half a bottle.

I never had alcohol aversions, though a lot of times I never desired it either. All of my aversions were very strong though. It wasn’t that something tasted off or I felt funny eating it, it was more of the smell or even thought of something was enough to make me either puke or almost puke to where I had to leave the area the smell was located so the nausea would subside. Of course, some people have no morning sickness so ..shrug. And if you really are having pregnancy symptoms, you would get a positive test. No point in asking strangers, take a test.

LOL at the Too Much Information. I’ve posted photos of my still wet pregnancy test on here. Hell, I’ve hauled my dried pregnancy tests from Mexico to Canada so I can get a good picture and put it on the bee for feedback… but an aversion to alcohol is Too Much Information. Wow am I ever out of bounds.
also, just take a test. I’m pregnant and I would kill someone for a Caesar sooo…. not all pregnany women don’t like alcohol anymore.

Could be! The day before I was found out I was pregnant was a bachelorette party and while I drank, I didn’t drink much. It just wasn’t doing it for me. I felt super full, and just couldn’t get a buzz going. Next day, BFP.

TiggersMitts : Caesars are really the BEST drink to crave preggers though, cause virgin ones taste almost as good as alcoholic!
I was out with Darling Husband for our way late valentines date 3 days before I got my BFP, and we went to the movies and then for beer and wings. I was all over the wings, but only hand one beer and I wasn’t really feeling it.

Am I the only person who’s thinking that this can be resolved so easily with a good old wee on a stick?
Probably not. I had a lot of wine during my TWW.

not sure why this is a Too Much Information post, but it could be or it couldn’t be. I had no aversion to alcohol while pregnant…everyone’s different. Take a test, GL!

A much more reliable sign of pregnancy is a positive pregnancy test.
