I had some very light spotting twice in the months before my period actually returned, and it began when I stopped pumping at work. With your breastfeeding pattern you very well could be fertile, so the only way to know for sure what’s going on is to use a pregnancy test. I hope you get whatever outcome it is you want out of this!

I’m not totally sure of how mine was bit it came back 4 months postpartum even though I was constantly breastfeeding. I think it was a normal period for me, average flow and mild cramps.

Pappy8:  mine was lighter (although not as light as what you’re describing) than normal and I had no cramps. I was also still breastfeeding and I was 11 months post partem.

My first post-partum period was 3 months after my son was born. I was breastfeeding and not expecting it to return so soon. It was a pretty average period, and they continued to come every month while breast feeding.

Mine came back at 6 weeks despite constant breastfeeding. It was just as heavy as normal and went back to being regular. I would take a pregnancy test.

Pappy8:  I got mine at 7.5mo.  It just showed up one day, no cramping and no warning.  It actually wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, it was normal bleeding-wise.  I get almost zero cramps now.  I was on BCP before my baby so all I had were mild cramps then but I don’t even get those anymore.  Usually I get zero cramps but once and awhile I’ll get maybe 1 or 2 cramps.

Any update?
