I voted highly irregular – as they are! I can’t plan my cycle at all, as it can happen, week off, then come back, then 6 weeks clear!

The downside of the contraceptive implant..

I can plan mine down to the day i will get them (no lie) I bleed a ok amount not heavy and not too light… BUT I have to worst cramps EVER But i get them around ovulation then 2 days before my period and I am in SOOO much pain…

But before I had my daughters I would have very crazy periods. I would never have on 2 months in a row and they lasted only 1-3 days and was beyond light.

I get my period every month around the same time. I bleed for 3 days then sometimes on the 4th day spot. Oh & I get bad cramps & back pain. :/

    Pretty much like clockwork.

I get mild-moderate cramps up to a week before I actually start and then get them really bad on the first one or two days.  It can last anywhere between 4 and 8 days and sometimes I’ll have a “break” day when I wont bleed at all.

When I was younger I used to have a 3 month cycle of severity, at its worse it would be agonising and would mean throwing up a lot. I started the pill to regulate it but am off it now because the one I was on stopped working (as in I bled for three weeks) and the next one made me miserable so I decided to stop it until I finish my exams. Even though I’ve stopped the pill the vomiting is a lot less common than it was before but still happens once or twice a year.  I also get loose bowels.

Recently I have just started to get nauseous around ovulation too.

Now I’ve written this out, is this even normal?! Lol.

    Too Much Information, sorry.

I have been on BCP for 10 years and my period comes as the same time every month. The Tuesday of the sugar pills week I get it and by Sunday I’m done.

The week before I cramp up a bit and get really moody but other than that, nothing else. The first 2 days are light, the 3rd day is usually the heaviest day then last 2 days light again. I’ve been lucky.

My periods are completely predictable, extremely painful cramps for the first day or two, heavy bleeding days 1-3 then day 4 its really light for about half the day then I’m done.

I am a super bitch when I’m on my period hah

I’m 100% an emotional wreck the week before my period. It is always supposed to start on the monday, never starts till usually the wednesday then lasts till saturdayish. Although that can vary. lots of pain. Mostly light bleeding.

LOL @ the tiger thing. I’m saving some of those.

I’m not as much of an emotional wreck as I used to be, but I still get really depressed and cry easily during my “period”/withdrawal bleed. Mine are predictable since I’m on the pill, but they’re super-uncomfortable and really heavy (thanks, endometriosis!).

On HBC, my period was totally regular and predictable.  I went off HBC last December and then didn’t have a period… ever. Last month, I took Provera for ten days to hormonally induce a period since it had been so long, and the meds tricked my body into having a period.  Since then, nothing.  I’m probably going back to the doctor in a few months if I don’t have one on my own before the end of the year.

Edit: Yes, I did spend beaucoups of money testing my hormone levels and thyroid– everything came back normal but I still think there might be something wrong.  I’ve also gained ~25 pounds since going off the pill. I’d really rather not go back on it, I’m so much less moody now! But I’m ready to be skinny again…

Rotfl at those pics. I’m saving most of them, lol!

My period’s always been pretty regular, coming every 28-ish days (give or take 2 or 3 days), and would last 4 or 5 days, with my 1st day light, 2nd and third days heavy, 4th and 5th days light. Cramping varies, sometimes it’s minimal, almost nonexistent, other times it’s got me in the fetal position on the first and second days. (FWIW, I’m not on any hormonal birth control)

They are pretty regular usually about 28-30 days but have occasionally varied from 26 to 38.  I always have bad back cramps right before it starts. The first day is painful then rest of the days aren’t bad. Bleeding varies but mostly moderate, starts off heavier and gets lighter. Not on the pill anymore because periods on the pill sucked! It always came every 28 days but I had extremely bad cramps and periods were clumpy and gross! So much better now that I’m off of it!

Insanely irregular (thank you PCOS & endometriosis) and also very painful/uncomfortable (mainly the Endo to thank for that). Also…variable as far as bleeding though. It’s stupid. Lol. As far as wonky periods go, mine is pretty much the definition.

    LOL> hilarious pics.

I have long cycles. Regularly irregular? Didn’t vote on that. I’d say… I usually have 40-55 day cycles, with very little bleeding, but intense cramping and migraine headaches and sometimes I can’t stand up. Well. OK, one day of ick with bleeding and death moods and death feelings, and then two days when I feel fine and have spotting. My periods are NOT NORMAL. But… one day of pain for only one day of blood? I guess it’s a fair trade-off.

It was totally worth it to me to go on birth control to pretty much eliminate the symptoms–extended my “period” to 3 days, but worth it for the lack of migraines and hideous pains and symptoms.
