So I am almost done planning this wedding. With only 1.5 months to go I am both excited to marry my best friend and also so sad that my mom passed away before she could see it. As I can no longer ask her opinion, I thought I would see what you ladies think I should do.
First, let me give you an idea of my look and of course my dress.
As you can see the dress comes with a bolero, but I do not like that it is opaque. The seamstress says she can take out the lining and remove the collar, but I’m not entirely sold.
These are all my accessories.
So which of the following options do you think will work best with my overall look.
Having the seamstress make an entirely new bolero that looks like this.
Adding Beauty and the Beast tulle sleeves
Adding cap sleeves.
So What do you ladies think? Should I make the existing bolero sheer lace and keep the short sleeves, Should I have her make an entirely new bolero, should I add Belle sleeves, or finally should I just add cap sleeves?
Thanks for your time and help. I know I’ve asked before, but I am horrible with decisions and I can’t put the image together in my head of the overall look.

I do not think tulle sleeves are flattering at all. I would go with what the seamstress suggests! I bet that will look great.

Your dress is GORGEOUS!!!! I’d let the seamstress do her thing!!!

The seamstress is an expert – I’d let her do her thing! Beautiful dress by the way!

I added sheer lace cap sleeves to my lace trumpet and everyone loves Them. But I like your long sleeve too.

I would let the seamstress do her thing. But, may I ask why you have to have sleeves? The dress looks amazing on you the way it is and you’ve got a great figure you don’t need sleeves.

I would go with the seamstress’ recommendation or make a sheer longer bolero. I’m not a fan of the other two options but I love your dress and I think the lace bolero will complement it!

I think the 3/4 lace sleeves are absolutely stunning! I, however, am clearly biased.

i’m sorry about your mom 🙁
very pretty dress! i voted for the 3/4 sleeves, but i also really like the seamstress’ idea. i wore a bolero similar to that for my wedding 🙂

@Lyndzo: This is a good question. I always thought I would get a gown with sleeves, but I found them for the most part martonly on me and I hate how I look in a V neck so a lot of those gowns just weren’t for me. I keep looking at my gown and thinking there is something missing.

@frogprincess: Okay I do love that! But would the lace clash with my all over lace gown?

I thought I would add that the reason your seamestress wants to use the bolero that came with it is so that the lace matches Perfectly. If matching perfectly is important then let her do her thing. But it shouldn’t be impossible to make a custom bolero out of closely matching lace.

I would also say go for the 3/4 length sleeves, but I am pretty darn biased too
I HAVE to ask. Where did you get your earrings and bracelet from? They are STUNNING.

Get the lace jacket/sleeves made. Those would look perfect with your gown. They are classic and gorgeous!!
