I love me a halo! But then again I would halo the Hope Diamond…definitely not a purist, nor very pragmatic when it comes to my taste in jewelry. That being said I like your ring just the way it is…very classic.

That ring is beautiful as is, don’t change a thing.

Drizzle: Ukulele4You: thanks for the mention ladies. Here’s what we ended up with for my antique e-ring

I voted no because 1) I’m not a big fan of halos, and 2) because I think it’s perfect as is! 🙂

I wouldn’t change it at all. While the halo settings are beautiful, they’re a trend that will most likely fade. I love the classic and timeless elegance of your ring and wouldn’t change a thing.

As an update, I decided not to get a halo setting. I still think about updating this setting to a more delicate one with less metal between the side stones and the center and a more seamless transition from the baguettes to the band. At Christmas my fiancé’s grandmother gave me ANOTHER heirloom ring! I’ve really learned to appreciate the authentic vintage quality and family history. I am still going to get a wedding band and really love Anna Sheffield designs. Do any of you have an Anna Sheffield ring?

I’d love to add a band like this to my stack for my wedding band!

kath165 : I think your set is beautiful, unique, and that it has a classic setting. It actually already looks great with the band you have. Just my 2 cents…😕
